I once tested a cab by using a computer UPS. It was capable of running the 
PC / monitor for approx 10 mins using maybe 400w or more, and it ran the cab 
for about quarter hour.

. . . and yes, I know, I have hundreds of emails to answer - but I've had no 
DSL for 2 weeks or so until today. I will get throught them shortly.
