VECTOR: G05 and q502

I am troubleshooting a G05 out of a Battlezone. I have HV chatter, did
not have neck glow and the spot killer LED was not lit.

I re-flowed the 8 or so wires out of the molex to the deflection
board. At that point, I had success. I am, however, having trouble
adjusting the brightness. Seems like I cannot get rid of the "spider"
lines connecting all of the vectors.

I just slid the monitor back in the BZ and the monitor has the same
problem described above.

Upon taking the monitor out again, I noticed two of the three legs
[outer most] of q502 are cut. is this a mod?
