size is a power thing, check the plugs,fuses/fuseclips,big caps etc. a good test for fuses and clips is to see if they are running warm, they are becoming a problem more often these days - atleast for me. the tilt thing if you look close is more likely one quadrant bigger or smaller than the rest. this is probably caused by uneven transistor gain - probably one of the chassis transistors but maybe a small one before it. of course these things could also be caused by the soldering but i assume you checked the soldering already.
