Assuming that "mispull" refers to a call and not to a play the answer is
"Yes, LHO may change his call without rectification".

How can establishing the revoke be a better strategy than avoiding it to
become established?
Law 64C will eventually be applied resulting in a final result that will
certainly be less favourable than had the revoke not been established
(instead resulting in a penalty card). 
I of course assume that the Director knows his job.

You will still have the lead to the next trick but declarer will have three
options when instructing you on which denomination to lead.
