Don't know much about Ruby, but I'd like to hear what you have to say
against Lua. :) Just to make my standpoint clear - I like using Lua for
build scripts and some stuff like that, but not for game scripting. I
believe that it is not well suited for in-game use, due to "by-name" lookups
in interpreter and due to use of garbage collector. Now I'd like to know if
you have some more arguments in this direction.

Ah, but I will -- anyone using Ruby successfully?  It doesn't seem to
be particularly well documented for embedding, but it has a host of
language features that I dig, and Lua and I have a love/hate
relationship at times.
