Ha. Turbo Pascal and Borland Delphi are kind of outdated ;). Check out these great books: =93C for Dummies=94 2nd Edition by Dan Gookin, = =93C: All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies=94 by Dan Gookin, and =93Absolute Begi= nners Guide to C=94 2nd Edition by Greg Perry. I have all 3 and they do a great j= ob teaching you C. If you can only get one of them, get the C: All-in-One Desk Reference. It has a lot of information in it. The first one, C for Dummies, moves at a nice slow pace so you really understand what is going on. The las= t one also moves along at a nice pace. You can pick them up on amazon.com pret= ty cheap. As far as other little tools for windows: VIM -> http://www.vim.org/download.php Dev-C++ -> http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html But if you are able to, then just run linux or find a host and your set :).
