Introduction of a Newbie to the world of Open Source

Hello everyone,
I got to know about ScummVM from the GSoC organisation list.This is just
the introductory message to everybody.I was told to introduce myself here
by 'rootfather' on your IRC channel.
I'm new to the world of open source and would love to contribute. I have
some experience in coding, mostly in C++ and also have done some coding in
Java and C.
So if anyone can help getting me started on open source contributions, Do
email me.
