According to Notepad++ the following files are saved in UTF-8: zh-Latn_CN.po eu.po In case someone wants to fix it. Since it says the following on https://translations.scummvm.org/projects/scummvm/scummvm/ : Reminder: ScummVM only supports 8-bits encodings and thus cannot handle unicode characters.
