Dear ScummVM and ResidualVM teams

The deadline for the application form is getting closer, and we currently
dont have enough mentors (and ideas). I'm therefore sending this new email.
The previous one was sent during the end of year celebration and it's
likely some of you didn't even notice it.

Currently, the Following people answered:
For ScummVM: dreammaster, sev, Strangerke
For ResidualVM: Dries

Mataniko raised an interesting point in the last thread. What is a mentor,
what is expected from them? Google made some nice documentation about their
summer of code, so I prefer to link to it directly :
https://google.github.io/gsocguides/mentor/what-makes-a-good-mentor

I started duplicating and updating the pages the same way I did the past
years.
There's still a lot of work to be done in order to make the application
awesome, but that's pretty usual so there's no worries about it.

The current draft versions of the application form and the idea page are
available there:
https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Summer_of_Code/Application/2019
https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Summer_of_Code/GSoC_Ideas_2019

I removed the Spark idea as it was handled last year. If ResidualVM people
think it should be back, don't hesitate to tell, with a description of what
still has to be done and the task expectations.

I also seriously consider to remove the Text To Speech task in ScummVM. If
you Don't feel the same and are ready to mentor it, please tell it too. I
also consider adding the Immortal task. It wasn't successful last year but
it's now publicly known that we have the sources available. Any comment
about it is welcome too.

For ResidualVM people: Could you please review the Wintermute 3D and the
ICB tasks and tell if they are still available. It would be convenient that
the people involved (E.J., Pawel, Joost) tell if they are available and
eventually work on the text to make it more appealing (maybe some
screenshots would help too?)

For ScummVM people: Most of the tasks are currently proposed by Eugene and
he's currently quite busy with RL. It would be nice if some people could
either take the co-responsability of a task so it may happen. In any cases,
new ideas are very welcome as the ones currently proposed are sometimes old
and may not be sexy for students. If you have ideas not related to a game
engine and are willing to discuss about it, please start a new thread on
-devel as it will be more convenient to keep track of the discussions this
way.

Thanks in advance for your help and feedback,
Best regards,
Arnaud / Strangerke
