That's somewhat of an arrogant statement. I think EA have some very capable engineers. As Tom says, don't underestimate politics and "strategic management" in large organisations: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/04/opinion/04brass.html I've got quite a lot of experience with Lua, and I like it, but it's not the only solution. It's very good for some applications, but that doesn't mean it should be used for everything. If you're "worried about the project", imagine what the management of a billion dollar franchise must be feeling. http://investor.ea.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=442922 Nick On 11 February 2010 02:44, Brandon Van Every <[email protected]> wrote: > On Mon, Feb 8, 2010 at 8:12 PM, Nick Trout > <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > It might be that the team aren't familiar with Lua. > > If they're too dumb to learn it quickly, I'd be worried about the project. > > > Cheers, > Brandon Van Every > _______________________________________________ > Sweng-Gamedev mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.midnightryder.com/listinfo.cgi/sweng-gamedev-midnightryder.com > _______________________________________________ Sweng-Gamedev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.midnightryder.com/listinfo.cgi/sweng-gamedev-midnightryder.com
