Flash doesn't run native code, it runs ActionScript which is a
Javascript variant.

As I understand it, Unity is scripted in .NET -- there was some
discussion in another thread on this list about Unity being scripted
in C#.

So, both Unity and Flash achieve sandboxing by running end-user code
in its own sandbox by virtue of the virtual machine/domain-specific
language in which end-user code is written.  End-user's don't supply
native code for Flash applications.  That's why Flash ends up being
cross-platform.

(Aside: someone told me Hexic on the Xbox was a ported Flash application?)
