It's perfectly fine to not have all the information -- the purpose of discussion is the sharing of information, after all -- but when someone hands you information on a silver platter Regarding http://www.mono-project.com/CsharpRepl , I take issue that such was done. I don't want a user to interact with a shell. I don't want any shell to appear, messing up the GUI experience. I want an interpreter entry point that also works with compiled code, and the same as compiled code to the extent possible. The information relevant to my needs, such as they are, is contained in the very last section, "Startup Files." I didn't even notice this section the 1st time around as it's after an awful lot of stuff about the REPL shell. Upon finally reading it, it pretty much says that the shell doesn't do what I want anyways, as class definitions cannot be interpreted, and compiled program files have to be in a special startup directory. Now, Mono *may* have the interpreter capabilities that I would want, based on the circumstantial evidence of a REPL shell existing, and some ability to load compiled code in concert with it. But this and other features are not clearly spelled out on the webpage, so it is an invitation to do more RTFM. Silver platter it is not. So again, continue to be very tiring about the "level of service" you provide someone as you jump down their throat for not RTFM as long as possible to absolutely determine the answer to questions with certainty without ever having to tire the fingers of a human being on a mailing list.
