Any technology that has to come with those kinds of heavy-handed tactics just screams "not ready for competition" to me. Maybe I'm just extra sensitive. Anyway, this was in the context of "why don't you write a whole game in C#" -- I agree that for typical scripting things, top-notch FP performance isn't necessary.
