Peter, Wasn't 1441 simply the demand that Iraq provide unconditional access to all its facilities to UN personnel? There was nothing in it to remotely suggest that Iraq be attacked. UNSC1441 specifically required further Iraqi breaches to be brought back to the security council for resolution and as we know that requirement was ignored because Bush/Blair did not wish to risk a French veto.
