Brown removed

Well, one down, two to go ... Mike Brown, the clueless Fed running the 
Katrina relief efforts, was removed
by President Bush today.  A Coast Guard admiral will take over the 
Katrina relief efforts.  I figured he'd remove the guy AFTER
Katrina's effort was farther along, but apparently Bush decided leaving 
this idiot in charge would be more damaging
than removing him now.  I'm certain it's a good decision.

Now if they can just get rid of the Governor and Mayor, perhaps things 
might get done.  There's an interesting article
in the NYT about the legal reasons why the military couldn't just waltz 
in after the hurricane ... link follows.
