Peter, No, the President doesn't have the authority (I don't think) ... the "they" I mentioned was the voters. The VOTERS ought to recall and dump the Mayor and Governor for gross incompetence. I should have been more clear with my use of the word "they". Now, most governors have the right to remove a mayor ... it happened in Kissimmee, FL this year. The mayor was charged with a sex crime, and Jeb Bush removed him from office and had the city council elect a new one. He also did it with the mayor of Orlando last year, when he was charged with election fraud.
