Your paranoia is getting the better of you. I am not familiar with the ins and outs of Floridian local politics 
or what the nature of crimes that your officials are accused of if you do not bring that information to the 
table.  Innocent until proven guilty is an important principle in my opinion irrespective of your governor's 
name, and should be adhered to unless there is a compelling reason not to do so.

The above would depend upon the nature of the crime and the nature of the authority being wielded. I note that 
your former president was not removed from office when he was accused of sexual molestation.
