I appear to be set to traditional for all of my groups as well as in myprefs. Perhaps it just takes some time for the new setting to kick in...

I am still receiving plain text, but given the change in terminology I am loathe to investigate the settings too 
thoroughly lest I break something causing me to receive HTML for ever more.

What I would say is that you can set your different lists to different settings, so it may be worth checking 
that you are set as "traditional" on *both* the following links:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/CAT23-Achat/join (or the equivilent on the list which is giving you 
problems) and http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs
