Even on election night - at the Chicago ball field - the entire setup reminded me of the pictures of the Nuremberg rallies. You know, the ones with the pillars of light. Only Obama was flanked by US flags. This school thing - just a modernized version of the Hitler youth antics. One thing to remember is that had Hitler not instigated WWII he likely would have been seen as a great leader. He turned a busted, broke, disarmed and downtrodden post WWI Germany into a major world power in only a few short years. I think Obama is trying to follow that example to the extent that he can. Is this the opposite spectrum of McCarthy and benevolence of an American government, or is this the origins of a Brave New World, or more realistically a hallmark of the expected New World Order? Personally for schools to encourage their pupils to sing the praises of a president like he can hear, and include his mantra's is pretty insidious. However, on the opposite side of the coin we have a national anthem that is a prayer for our monarch, not quite the same thing, but it seems the mood is rather more idol worship on the side of Obama. I miss this list, maybe we can start talking again?
