I suspect not but I'm not really sure. They have strongest in the south west of England for as long as I can 
remember (ie since the 1970s).

I suspect there strength in Scotland and Wales is more a reflection of Conservative unpopularity dating back 
to the Thatcher government - particularly in Scotland.
