For those who are not aware, the new YGroups spamguard system can be turned off by Group Owners (or presumably those
moderators with the privilages to change group settings) by going to the group home page and then.....

Click the management link on the left
then (under Group Settings) Messages
then (Posting and Archives) Edit
then Spamguard tick off
then save changes

I will put on record that I find the new system a real pain in the bum, because Outlook Express seems to stop
responding more often than not when I attempt to download a message with "[spam]" in the subject line and I have to
physically access the server via the web to knock it off or download it manually before I can download the messages
queued up behind it. Worse, I cannot just tell Outlook Express just to leave spam on the server because genuine
posters are being flagged as spammers.

I am BCCIng this to the many lists that I am on, to make it clear what options are out there, and as a plea to the
owner to consider turning spamguard off.

Where this is appearing on groups that I own if I do not get any feedback I am going to turn spamguard off myself
within the next 24 hours or so.

Regards
Peter
