Thats probably about right. I recall that GEnie was going belly up due to
the explosion of the WWW, along with General Electrics not wishing to put
money into upgrading the system. Web mentioned that listservers were the way
to go, and since this was pre free Yahoo days, we had to use contacts. I
forgot who got the folks at Halisp to host us for free, which was a real
lifesaver at the time as listservers were at least $100 a year at that time.

Then the masses all came flooding into the Web, and I think thats when AOL
was having problems so we had a real explosion.
