Hi folks I am about to start two new games within the next fortnight, and I am fine-tuning my House Rules. One feature I am seriously considering including is that of allowing Proxy Orders. I can see that there can be advantages to the Players, like strategic flexibility and increased options; however I can also see the disadvantages in that a player granting the proxy may withdraw it about a minute before the deadline, leaving the player receiving the proxy in the mire. But this is Dip, after all :) I wondered if any GMs/players with experiences of proxy orders [good and bad!] could please communicate their opinions and experiences in this forum. Basically I want to run a good game and I want to get it right! For information, my current proxy rules are that proxies can be granted and cancelled right up to the deadline, only the GM and the granting player and receiving player know about the proxy, and cancellation of the proxy is acknowledged to the granting player and the receiving player as soon as it is received. In the event of a late adjudication [which is allowed in my house rules], all proxy orders are locked at the actual deadline. Perhaps this will start an interesting thread, too!
