What happened?

Howdy there. Some of y'all may remember me from when I was a heavy 
regular around here a few years ago. I've completely avoided Dipping 
for the past two years or so (serious case of burnout), and have 
only just come back to the Cat in the past few days. 

I couldn't help but notice that in the time since I left the 
activity on Cat boards like NGame and GM has gone way, way down. I 
always knew I was a popular guy, but it's pretty surprising to see 
everyone else leaving just cuz I did. ;^)

Seriously though, what happened around here? Was there some short of 
shakedown and mass exodus of people? Is the Cat really less active 
than it used to be, or am I missing something?
