I note that this competition carries a prize fund which is always something that worries me when it comes to 
on-line competition. It is not being run by Cat23, so I am saying up front that the Cat23 moderators are not 
policing it, cannot vouch for it, and do not intend to get involved in any disputes regarding money.

Hi folks!

Hope you all will forgive me for posting something not entirely related to
Cat-23.  The other PBEM Dip group I'm involved with, Diplomaticcorp, is
looking to create a new fast-paced  Dip tournament and asked me to post this
here on the Cat.  Figured since it was Diplomacy-related that you guys
wouldn't mind a little cross-club posting.

So, tourney announcement below....  It looks to be a pretty good set of
games - and we'd love to see some of you guys there.  Thanks!

Winter Blitz!

I would like to invite our friends at Cat-23 to the first online Diplomacy
Blitz Tournament, the DC Winter Blitz!  A fast paced 2-round tournament
starting in January, and complete by June. The only online tournament
offering a donated prize fund of $200 in board games!

Time controls:  1 year per week:

Deadlines:  3 to 4 days per season, with Spring due every Monday and Fall
due every Thursday.

This is a fast tournament!  The only place where you can play 2 full rounds
in 6 months time.
