Libby, Your definition here seems to be more in line with what people refer to as "cross-gaming". There are subtle differences, and I'm sure this minor soliloguy will elicit many opinions in itself. I enjoyed the following article recently; http://devel.diplom.org/Zine/S2000M/Shields/Metagaming!.html ...and it echoes my own thoughts about tournaments. I applaud this writers courage in writing it and encourage people in this forum to read it if only for the grey matter value.
