A game queue is a list that you can sign up to saying that you wish to play in a game (despite there being no games on offer at the time), and then when a GM opts to start a game instead of posting to Cat23-NGame the GM just goes to the list and takes the first seven names and assigns them seats in his game.
The drawbacks are that the players on the list may have lost interest for one reason or another by the time a GM picks them off the list, or the seven names may not get on with one another or the particular game. If one of the seven had gone on vacation (for example) by the time they were selected off the list it could take quite a long time to get a game going where the players were chosen from a game queue.

What is a game queue? Does it mean that if I want to join game no.3 (maybe because it's a variant of my like or whatever) I have to wait for game nos. 1 and 2 to fill up?
It would only make sense among same type games, standard typically. Otherwise I don't see it.

Game Queues have been discussed in the past. In the days when Cat23 was active you could fill a game quicker by
taking seven names off the Cat23-NGame list than you could taking seven off the queue and then waiting for them
all to confirm that they were still interested. That may not be the case any more so maybe a Game Queue would
now have a place, though I think that any GM should have the choice of whether to use it or not.
