NEW GAME START - DIP 1273 - What the GM needs from YOU!

Greetings dipsters and welcome to game 1263.  I am your humble GM/wiseass and will be
doing my best to keep this game on track and enjoyable - at least to the extent that I can.
If  you get eliminated early that just ain't my fault.

Anyway, we are almost ready to start but before I do the country assignments I need 
preferences from some of you - and you know who you are.  If in doubt, ask.  

I also need the following information in order to set workable deadlines.

1. What timezone are you in (if  you don't know, tell me where you are)?

2. Do you have regular, reliable weekend access?

3. Any scheduled trips/vacations etc that I need to schedule around?

4. Any alternate email address or means of contacting you in the event the email address you gave me does not work?

Two of the players here are new to the game so please be nice and if you can't be nice 
please make things as painless as possible.

One of the players is my daughter.  I have been teaching her the game and I was trying to decide what to
do in relation to this game with my role as GM.  What I have tentatively decided is that if she wants my
input or advice I will discuss things freely with her UNTIL THE FIRST SET OF ORDERS COMES IN.
Once that set of orders is in my inbox I will not discuss the game with her so as not to let anything slip from
having seen orders.  

If this is NOT acceptable to any of you, or if you have a better idea, please speak freely.

I will try and have the major season (Spring/Fall) and the minor season (Summer/Autumn & winter) in the same
week.  There will be a week between major seasons and the minor seasons will be due within 24 hours of the 
major season results coming out.  I would also like builds and/or disbands to come in with the autumn results.
If that gets too messy I may change that, but for now lets try it and see.  Remember, there is not supposed to
be discussion during retreats and builds so that is not an argument for an extension.

Generally speaking I will give you 24 hour notice prior to the deadline and then NMR if the orders are not in.
In the event I forgot to announce I will extend the deadline 24 hours if any orders are missing.  There will be 
no warning or grace periods for rertreats/builds/disbands.

If  you want or need an extension you MUST submit your request BEFORE the deadline.
