Greetings everyone.

Eric, of France here. Well, not really France. Technically, it's the borderlands of Ohio and Michigan. (I live in Michigan, attend law school in ohio, and work in both -- and sometimes in Indiana.) But, if I think really hard and play make pretend like a champ, I could imagine it's France. But if I truly had THAT much mental energy, I'd send myself somewhere better than France.

Anyway... I'm clearly a smartaleck. (No, really... it's true.) For those who don't recognize me and may think I am new: I'm not new, just newly returned. I've been in the hobby for roughly a decade, give or take. For those who DO recognize me and know I'm anything but a newbie: It has been four years since I played, my divorce is over, I got full custody of my son, and have received diagnosis and treatment for all those little "ticks" to my personality. And I "SWEAR" that I am taking all my medications. <grin>

I effectively live on the road, because of school, work ( I represent juveniles in court over a 6 county area), and the occasional show (I'm an improv comedian, when time --and the fiance and my son-- allow. And by allow, I mean "ALLOW," I'm a very good whiner. Unfortunately, she's a very good meanie.) As such, you should all expect some of my diplomacy to come from my cell phone, since I do a lot of work on the phone while I drive. I'll text you all tomorrow so you have the address. Keep in mind, that medium has a 160 character limit, unless you are also a Verizon Wireless customer. Messages longer than 160 characters should come to this address.

That's it for now. You'll all hear from me separately in short order -- except for Turkey who I usually ignore until 1902 when I'm playing France. <grin>

And for the record... just so you all know I am a good sport, totally nonagressive, and in general a "team player," I propose a Seven way draw, DIAS.

Your Ally, (No... really, I swear)
  Eric S. Grinnell

1 week per turn. Always hope/push for 24 hrs adjs not
incl weekends. 1976 rules. PST is the standard. I
receipt move orders. I bombard those not in with
messages noting thier non-inness ;) This is a NMR game
but none in 01. Folks who can't even start need to be
replaced. 2 NMRs later in game will bring inquiries on
replacement. 3 Yrs with no sc change other than
obvious trades among allies = stalemate.

Software = Realpolitik. Maps will Avail using this
currently empty link

Please trust it will not be empty once 1st turn done
so can save as a favorite if you wish ;) Will always
have latest map. As is a file you will have to be a
member of that Y Group to see - Yahoo rule not mine.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/justplaydiplomacy/
us how to get there to sign up. All turns will be
archived there. I would select special notices or
daily digest for mail pref to avoid duplication. one
note - Jury duty 2/8. No idea if going to go long or
short on that. Good Luck!
