I'm going to have to agree with Trout. Since I've rejoined the hobby, I've watched participation throughout the community pick up a bit. Granted, it's nowhere near the madcap rush of the glory days, but that's why they call them the glory days after all, right? Maybe, if you were to introduce your high school son to the community, and he found something he liked, he'd tell all his friends. That's how I originally discovered the hobby - word of mouth.
