To all,
Standard game Dip1190 started on 5/7/04 and took 10 months, 16 days to
complete through 1914.
It was advertised as a "Newbie" game, but ended up with approximately
five professed "Newbies" and a couple of more experienced players. Of
the original seven, only two played to a conclusion; Matthew Lopatka
playing Turkey (eliminated 1905), and the winner, Colin Kinsella playing
Austria. I made no attempt to restrict openings to "Newbies" when it
came time for replacements.
Munich and Bulgaria were the most fought-over supply centers, each
changing hands five times, followed by Berlin, with four changes in
ownership during the game.
I hope everyone had some fun, and again, congratulations to Colin.
Regards,
Mike Ashland
