Dip 1230 - Update [GM annoyed!]

Gentlemen

Once again, I am waiting for orders from one player. Since this is a no-NMR game, I am unable to simply assume that his lack of a build order implies a waived build.

While some players have had reasonable excuses [e.g. Jamie last turn] for holding things up, I note that I have had to prompt some players to get in orders *every* turn. This is the first time that this has happened to me in 3 years of online GMing - perhaps I have been lucky, but this is a situation that could be avoided if certain players would pay more attention. Last time I got some lame excuse about forgetting despite my reminders. Not good enough!!

Those players who get in prelims and/or put in their orders on time have my appreciation. Those who do not are beginning seriously to undermine the flow of the game, and hence the enjoyment of the game for the majority of the players.

There is a provision in the House Rules [Rule VII(5)] for me to replace, at my sole discretion, players whose repeated lateness of orders disrupts the flow of the game. 

From now on, all orders must be in on time. I will immediately start replacement procedures for those players missing orders, who have shown themselves to be repeatedly unreliable at hitting the deadlines on time. I will no longer be chasing you up on your orders; instead, you will be replaced tout-de-suite.

Sorry if this seems a little harsh. However, we have some dedicated players in this game whose fun is being spoiled by the minority. And I'm not going to tolerate it any longer!

Your comments, public or otherwise, would of course be welcome on this. This is your game; I'm just trying to keep it running smoothly. And if that means making some changes, then so be it.
