Well, I'm a one center replacement in a game right now that's probably going
to end in a 5 way draw "just because". Italy and Turkey were at odds in the
east. England and Germany allied in the west. I came in to replace France.
England was a tad overbearing. Apparently he'd been that way a lot. I went
to Italy and Turkey... helped them sort things. We came up with a plan to
spite him. Turkey in that game was a better player than England, so there's
a good chance that bullying a 2 center power cost England the game there.

In the same way, Italy in your game just *might* be thinking something like,
"Austria stabbed me. I can respect that. On the other side of me, however,
I've got this flaming @$$#013 playing France. If I fight back on one side
I'm buggered on the other. I might as well give my centers to someone I
respect."

Oh one last thing, have you looked at what Italy did in the last few seasons
and ran Ockham's razor on it? Again happy Holidays.

in or sending messages in wildly different time frames is that the anonymous
players live on opposite sides of the world.  Try shaving with Ockham's
