I agree with David and Manus. Drop this inane argument.

I have played Diplomacy for over 35 years. I can execute brilliant strategy, or
I can have my lunch eaten...and I love it.

Diplomacy is not Playstation, Xbox, or World of Warcraft. It is not checkers,
chess, or even poker. The greatest single mistake one can make in this game, as
in the real world, is assuming everyone thinks as you do. You are playing with
thinking human beings from all corners of the globe and all walks of life; every
one with a different thought process, motivation, level of experience, and
measure of success.

Just enjoy it.
