It is with great sadness that I have read the below press.  I had a feeling that the combination of the Owls tourney and the WDC may have been a bit much.  But I am glad that you have done these things.  You have been a great asset to the hobby and I am proud to consider you a friend.  Let's keep in touch.

Owls,

After 7 years at the dpjudge, mastering more than 500 games and hosting some 700 players, I've reached the point where it's time to take a break in 2012. I will allow the 2011 tournament and the few remaining open games to complete naturally.

Thanks to all the regular and reliable players who have made the Owls series a place to play good quality games of Diplomacy. I have enjoyed becoming virtual friends with many of you.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be back game-mastering in 2013, but want to keep the possibility open.
