Game team-up on UKDP forming

Strike the iron while it's hot. With the first game, teamplay, nearing the end of its opening stage, let's roll out a second game along the same lines, but with different team combinations, and call it team-up (http://uk.diplom.org/?game=team-up). 

The new teams are: Russia-Germany, Turkey-Poland, Britain-Ukraine, Egypt-France and Italy-Spain. The aim is to boost the weaker powers (in terms of victory/survival potential, not in terms of size) by coupling them with a stronger power nearby. An interesting side-effect is that the first 3 teams are heavily interlocked, as are the final 2. Should be an interesting battle again.

These games are played on an altered modern map, modern-up. The more action in the affected area (Ireland and surroundings), the better. Vincent Mous and me are watching.

The judge is still UKDP ([email protected]), it's still no-press, and it's waiting for 5 players to step forward. A silly low number, not? Well then, get in and make it smaller.

So what's up with the hyphen in the game name? Well, that character is allowed now in any position other than the first (to avoid confusion with command line options, since these judges are all running on Unix servers). Confession: If you experienced trouble sending mail to USDP (using the mail interface, not the web) in the last few days, this code change was at its root. Fixed now. Next time you create a game, be my guest and put in a hyphen.
