Showcase game now open

Folks,


In case you missed an earlier email, I am trying to revive the Showcase
section of the Diplomatic Pouch. There were many suggestions about how to
set up the game, a couple said they'd only do it one way, a couple said the
other.

But on the strength of the "diary" command and many other perks, I decided
to go with USAK for this. So please sign on to "showcase01" on USAK (
[email protected])

Game is gunboat, with white and  grey press, and preference lists are
disabled. 4 day move deadlines, 24 hr adjustments.

About the showcase game: each season, you will be asked to write a "diary"
(automated by the judge) about your thoughts and inclinations about the
current state of the game. After we're done, we post the results and
annotation on the site.

As a 15 year old kid just learning the game, the showcase section was
invaluable to me, so this is a bit of a pet project of mine. I got addicted
to diplomacy by reading the showcase games.
