Void contest: samples

A sample form to make things easy. Variable information is marked with "."
(a single dot). You can thus simply cut and paste these forms and replace
the dots. Browse to the end of this message to find a few sample solutions.
Every form should be sent as mail to [email protected], or, after having
joined the game, by browsing to the dpjudge website
(http://www.floc.net/dpjudge), log in to the game and use the web interface
to compose a message. In the rest of this mail, I will assume that you don't
want to bother yourself with the web interface.

To join, send the following:

signoff

The first . is the game name (void or silentvoid), the second a password of
your own choice. The judge will send you your power number (in the form
power#n, where n is a number between 1 and 36), which you then use in your
signon message.

or:

observe .@. .
signoff

The . before the @ is a name you choose, the . after the @ the game name
(void or silentvoid), the last . a password of your own choice.

You can already include your solution as a "press to m" in the body of the
join or observe mail, but if you don't, or for any later solutions you come
up with, you will have to sign on again (in a new mail), using your power
number (in the form power#n) or self-elected observer name (the part before
the @ sign in the observe command). Signing on will thus look like this:

For preference, fill in the power you want to play, either by the full power
name, an abbreviated territory name or the power letter (letter of the
alpabet except m or o, a cipher or + or *). Observers don't need to give a
preference, players sending more than one solution can omit it too if
they're still happy with their current choice.

Observers may later resign from the game (best wait until after you get a
reply from the master with a comment on your solution) with

resign .@. .
