Game 201 has just completed its Spring 1909 season, and the position is very interesting. Currently, Italy and Russia are tied for second with 9 centers apiece - the current leaderboard shows Italy just making the cut and Russia not doing so. England on 16 centers can force Munich for 17. It will be interesting to see whether Italy prevents the English solo by securing Tunis or allows it knowing that Russia well could put him out of the tournament if he so chooses. I think this would actually qualify as a prisoner's dilemma were Munich not a forced win and Russia on the right side of the cutoff. Russia's choice is to attempt second place with the possibility Italy throws the game or accept third place and still risk Italy throws the game - not a great option, and clearly the incentive is to attempt second place. Italy's choice is to hold off England while Russia may or may not push him to third or to throw the game and doom both himself and Russia. Given Russia's incentive, this is a pick your poison type of choice. Nevertheless, Italy can only advance by holding off England and hoping Russia foregoes his advantage for irrational reasons (like honor, friendship, etc.) Looks to be a nail biter.
