Ray, You call that meddling? Pretty tame meddling if you ask me! :) And no mention that Turkey and Russia were allied together in their second round game (which you GM'ed)? If they fall back on that alliance, that fleet in Black Sea isn't much of a threat, and it is more use for the alliance there than in either Rumania or Sevastopol. Of course, Russia may have just used the possibility of continuing that alliance to take the advantage, but we'll see. And of course there is the obvious connection between Germany and Turkey, given that not only are they teammates, but Turkey owes his position in the game at least in part to metagaming efforts by Germany. If those dots are connected, the early outcome doesn't look pretty. (Of course, they'd have to fight each other eventually!) Italy plowing into Austria (whether arranged or not) and France's early favoring of Germany don't bode well for the ability to stop such a meta-alliance, but these are all good players - I'm sure they'll think of something if the threat materializes. --- In [email protected], "Ray Setzer" <mczet1@m...> wrote: > Its just no fun having a finals board if people don't meddle. > > So, right off the bat, Italy blasts into Trieste and Russia in the Black > sea.
