Re: EOG Germany - Austria's answers

First of all,

I have decided not to write an EOG simpyl because I
stink at it and time is short me me right now. 
However, I will peruse the Eog's for any questions
pointed my way and answer them.  I hope you find that
acceptable.

Itamar,

I had some personal reasons for choosing you to win
the game, all based on my own ego.  As i mentioned to
Itamar at game start, he is the only played I have
sincerely lost to.  He carved me like a Turkey about 4
years ago in a game and since then no one has really
gotten the best of me.  Surely, we have all been in
spots where it just wasn;t meant to be, but Itamar did
better than that in the game we were in, he destroyed
me piece by piece :P.

Anyway, this was one of the games that circumstances
just were not right for me.  I had never played
Austria so i was lost from the start.

Itamar's question was when did I decide I could not
win?

I had decided that just at the time I told you.  The
reason was that it was necessary for Russia and I to
attack you to at least slow your growth.  Once that
was done and things were evened a bit more, a board
top would be theoretically attainable.  During Our
negotiations (including RAT, we needed T to at least
be amicable and remain a non-threat to us) it was made
clear that my moving to GAl was NOT ALLOWED.  I
perceived this as totally unreasonable as Gal was
neded to really make any headway against you.  When
that was clear, I figured Russia would never trust me,
never act rationally towards me and therefore any
oportunity to potentially cash in later with a stab
would not appear.  I knew I had to stab Russia or
Turkey at some point to win.. if it was Turkey (cause
all my units would be orth) it had to be russia, and
without Gal I had no chance.  So that is when I
decided that since Russia never really wanted to stop
you badly enough I would just give it to you and end
my own frustration.

Oh and Russia's decision may not have been a bad one,
I may have requested the same thing, but that
sentiment ended the game for me.
