Two new papers added to website.

Phil Summers just sent me two papers presented at ASTRA 2002. This is
a European Space Agency confererence. (ASTRA is short for Advanced
Space Technologies in Robotics and Automation.)
They have used FlightGear as the frame work for some of their
research. You can find the papers here:

Interesting stuff ... One paper discusses land mark recognization to
aid autonomous vehicle navigation (i.e. around a different planet that
doesn't have gps satellites overhead), and the other paper discusses
the development of an autopilot for a Mars flying vehicle.
