FlightGear v0.9.9-pre1 release.

I am pleased to announce the release of FlightGear v0.9.9-pre1.  This is
the first "pre" release for the upcoming official v0.9.9 release.

FlightGear is a free, open-source, multi-platform flight simulator.
The source code is licensed under the GPL.

FlightGear is available for free download from:

    http://www.flightgear.org

Precompiled versions of FlightGear v0.9.9 (for most platforms
including Windows, Linux, Sgi, Solaris, and Mac OS X) will probably
not be generally available until the official v0.9.9. release.

Here are a few of the highlights from this release:

- New 3D volumetric clouds.
- Volumetric shadows for aircraft.
- Better support for multiple liveries on a single aircraft design.
- Working carrier with arrester wires and catapults.
- Enhanced weather modeling.
- Many updates to the GUI and menu systems.
- Added a generic XML configurable autopilot system with several
  high level configurable filter implimentations.
- Fixes and updates to the internal flight dynamics engines.
- New animation effects such as heat haze and chrome.
- Several new aircraft and a multitude of fixes and improvements to
  the existing aircraft.
