For those that are interested, here is a picture of John and myself in
the LFS Technologies 747 simulator at Scale 4x:

John's 747 simulator attracted a lot of attention at the show and
received a lot of good feedback. The visuals and the flight dynamics
for this simulator come directly from FlightGear. The glass cockpit
displays and all the hardware integration are done through a version of
"real-time" linux and Open Glass Cockpit plus a lot of custom coding to
model many of the aircraft subsystems (fuel, flight management system,
supporting code for the glass cockpit displays, etc.)
You can visit LFS Technologies' web site here:
http://www.lfstech.com/
They offer a number of products and services for home and professional
cockpit builders who would like to move beyond proprietary closed source
operating systems and software.
Scale 4x is an annual linux show held in the Los Angeles area:

Curt.
