SVN doesn't work that way... just like in your house, if you stick something in
the attic (or basement), it is generally put away and forgotten about... unless
you specifically go in there rummaging about, it is likely it will never emerge
again unless someone else wanders in there and finds it...

the only way i can think of, at the moment, for something like this to work
would be to have yet another storage place for craft... that's likely also not
going to go over well... i mean, my system currently has 3 SVN repos for
FGAddon... one for trunk, one for release-2020.3, and one for release-2024.1...
i would have also had one for release 2018.whatever and other earlier versions
but i wasn't mirroring them back then... i found FG in like 2015, IIRC...

so, there's at least two, maybe three, SVN repos for craft devs to update
depending on which versions of FG they support with their craft... that can get
tedious over time unless their uploading to the repos is scripted or they doing
it quite a lot and remember how it is done... if they maybe update once every
six months, well...

something else about this whole conversation is that the core devs, the ones
with any real influence or means to make these changes to the FG infrastructure
may not even be reading this topic/thread... they aren't participating, that's
for sure...
