Well I’d do it as a custom hangar catalog, the whole point of custom hangars was to curate aircraft, just despite me asking and asking, no one ever used it that way. Of course it was originally assumed they’d be used for self-publishing, eg a ‘FGUK Hangar’ or a ‘Dave Culp’s Aircraft’ hangar, with whatever license (even payware, theoretically). But for aircraft where the license permits it, which is most of them, anyone is free to make a catalog / hangar called ‘JimBob’s favourite gliders from FGaddon’ or a ‘My best FGaddon aircraft’ : this is rather similar to a recommendation list on Steam.

The question then is about discovery: we currently offer to install the default hangar when it’s not setup, but otherwise adding a hangar is ‘just’ about pasting it’s URL into the ‘add hangar’ UI. Once you do that, all the aircraft (with ratings) are available to install, of course. But a new user still needs to be pointed at which curated list to install.

Kind regards,
James
