We pass this to sentry as the user ID: this avoids any GPDR issues with a real user ID (email / username / etc), but means we can eg correlate an issue with 1000 reports affecting one user (which happens) or 1000 different users with the same issue happening only once (which also happens…) I have *once* asked someone to privately send me their file (it’s in $FG_HOME/sentru_uuid.txt - to try and find ’their’ crash on Sentry - but at least in that instance, it didn’t work.
