I'll have a look at Stranraer when I get the chance. I have seen some issues where the scenery loader seems to get "stuck" and a sub tile isn't loaded in time. > One big question I have is about Orthos. Nia in particular did some work on tooling to generate the required files from orthophotos. That approach requires processing of the orthophotos as a scenery generation step. As discussed on this mailing list in a different thread, it should be possible to stream orthophoto data directly at runtime, at least outside of airports. I think that would be a very interesting project and would open up a whole range of ortho sources at runtime. > I recall from last year, I think, there were some issues regarding > compression of the WS3 scenery and it being unable to be loaded compressed > on some machines but I can't seem to replicate the issues I was having last > year, is this all resolved? > I think that might have been around the use of .dds textures, and I think it was resolved. -Stuart _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/flightgear-devel
