Observations of Clouds at Sunset and a strange effect from some kind of beacon at KBED on Runway 29 Looking West

Local time was about 8:15 PM

By 8:39, the clouds were primarily black.  Changing the time affects the
flickering: The flickering appears at Dawn, but is not apparent at Morning
or Noon.  It was barely visible with the afternoon setting, but is most
prominent at Dusk. It becomes almost invisible at Evening, and the entire
