And obviously, all edits done by those accounts should be reverted and the accounts banned, possibly also their IPs.

I think the only correct path here is to ban AI edits from the wiki. In my opinion, a wiki should be written by humans, and humans alone. Because yes, AI is great these days, especially when it's about summing up information - but it also screws up a lot (hallucinates), and independent from that - as long as we don't have AI that reads all of GL, OSG, Simgear, Flightgear and FGData, and understands it all, it will physically not be able to produce correct information.

What a joke.

Indeed.

Wikis came about in a time before agentic AI. Wiki admins are going to have a hard time given this increasingly common situation. I think we're going to see many more wikis restricted to vetted contributors.

I share some of Curt's memories. I grew up building complex plastic models, then building flying balsa and spruce models, then control-line models (anyone remember those?) and then to R/C aircraft, all built by hand the hard way. Not to mention quite a few Heathkit stuff (I built my own servos, etc.). We have a lot of cool stuff now, but we traded a lot for it and the sudden extreme rise of these LLMs makes me suspect there's more yet to lose.
